A California native, Lisa and her family have lived in the Piney Woods of East Texas for over 15 years and are proud to call Lufkin home. When not spending time with her family, Lisa proudly serves on numerous boards and committees and enjoys being an active participant in her community and church. Misty was born and raised in the small town of Kirbyville and has lived in the Lufkin area for over 20 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1997. Following graduation she pursued a career in the accounting field for about four years. When she and her husband started their sweet family, she assisted him with his businesses, but waited until their kids were in school to pursue her real estate career.

Misty is married to Michael Sessions and they have three children who are involved in many school activities in Hudson. Her family is active in their church, Harmony Hill Baptist, where she and Michael help with the youth on Sunday mornings. They own their real estate company and have a forestry company as well.

Misty truly loves to help people in all their real estate endeavors and see them excited about what God has in store for them.

Michael Sessions and his wife Misty started Timber Country Real Estate in 2008 with the goal of creating a full service real estate brokerage that would embody the hardworking character and values of the founders and settlers of East Texas. Michael is a not only a 4th generation Texan but the 4th generation of his family to work in the East Texas land and timber industry. With a bachelor’s degree in timber management from Stephen F. Austin State University, Michael not only specializes in helping his clients sell or find the right timberland, ranch, or recreational property, he also helps them after the sale to maximize their investment or turn the property into their dream.
